How ScrollPDF handles files, account data, analytics, local storage, and essential cookies.
All PDF processing on ScrollPDF occurs entirely on your device. ScrollPDF is a client-first application. When you upload a PDF file to use a tool, the file data and operations are processed securely on your device and are not transmitted to ScrollPDF or any third party.
If you create an account, we store your email address, display name, and account preferences in our database hosted by Supabase. This data is used solely to provide account functionality and is never sold to third parties.
We use Umami Analytics to collect anonymous, cookieless usage statistics. No personal information is collected and we do not use analytics data to inspect the contents of the documents you process.
Local storage and cookies
We use your local device storage to remember which tools you have recently used. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to ScrollPDF.
If you sign in to an account, we set a session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is essential for account functionality. We do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies for document tool usage.
Third-party services
Supabase provides authentication, account profile storage, and future private storage features. Sentry may be used for operational error monitoring. These services receive only the minimum account or operational metadata necessary to provide those features.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not inspect the contents of documents processed by the application.
